It is a pretty impressive sales pitch make it sound like they increased your options and then to explain they dropped manual transmission, sedans, and the premium and limited trims. I assume they will drop manual transmission on the Crosstrek.

I am also curious if the will price the RS higher than the BRZ. A certain logic says it will be priced between $27,995-$28,595 plus inflation adjustment for 2024.

Welcome to the forum @frankamartin. Spent quite a bit of time lurking Impreza5 while I was in the market for one but had to put it off. Now here eyes a new gen RS.

Do you own an Impreza currently?

Priced just above the Crosstrek Premium seems likely to me. Crossing over into BRZ territory isn't a good look IMO and I'm sure the media would have field day with the weird pricing.

Well the Crosstrek Premium is currently only $1050 over the Impreza Sport. That is not enough motivation to price the Impreza RS with the larger engine. I doubt Subaru could even break even.

At the very least they would have to make the Impreza RS $27,995 ($2900 over the Impreza Sport). But, alas, I think they will want more money.

Impreza sales were 86,043 in 2017 and 76,400 in 2018 when the 5th generation was introduced. Nissan Sentra sales were 77,123 in 2022.

Is it possible for the 6th generation Impreza to overtake the Sentra in sales for 2024? I've always felt that the Sentra is a very mediocre car, and the Impreza is a much better buy in this performance/price category.
There seems to be some indication that we are coming out of the chip shortage, and I think subaru has a shot at overtaking Nissan in US sales. But while the Subaru Legacy seems to have vey litle chance of surpassing Altima sales, I think a revived Impreza has a shot at the Nissan Senra,
